What does the CityPay payment service include, and how will I receive the funds?

CityPay’s service allows you to offer your customers the option to shop using digital assets, while your products or services are priced in the local currency. Customers can select the option to pay using digital assets on your website, and CityPay automatically converts the digital asset into the local currency. The converted amount is then transferred to your bank account through a partner PSP.

What methods can I use to accept transactions?

CityPay offers two payment acceptance methods that you can choose from based on your business needs:

  • API Integration – CityPay is added to your website as an online payment method. When purchasing a product or service, customers can select CityPay and transfer a virtual asset to CityPay for conversion, while you receive the equivalent amount in the local currency.
  • Payment Link – You create a payment order and send the corresponding link to your customer. The customer opens the link and completes the payment. This method allows you to accept payments without integrating the CityPay API into your website.
What is the service fee, and who pays it?

The payment processing fee is determined individually. You can decide who pays the fee based on your business needs.

  • The Customer Pays the Fee – The customer pays both the price of the product or service and the payment processing fee.
  • The Merchant Covers the Fee – The customer pays only the price of the product or service, while your business covers the payment processing fee.
How are refunds processed for customers?

If you need to issue a refund to a customer, contact the CityPay support team via chat, which is available 24/7. Our team will provide you with a simple refund form to complete with the relevant payment details.

Once the request is received, CityPay will review the transaction and the refund request. If the request is approved, the refund will be processed in accordance with CityPay’s established procedures and the terms applicable to the transaction.
